Why a vegetarian who loves paneer built India's consumer dairy safety watchdog — after being cheated more than once, and paying for it with his health.

I am a vegetarian. Paneer is not a side dish in my house — it is comfort food, protein, and habit. When that plate is adulterated, the cheat is not abstract. It lands in the gut. After multiple times buying milk and paneer that looked clean and still made me sick, I stopped treating dairy trust as someone else's problem.

Why Doodhwala Rating exists

Loose milk and festive paneer look trustworthy when the can is steel and the cube is white. Density can be faked. Starch can pass as body. Water can travel in summer heat while the vendor still talks “farm fresh.” Kitchen CLR, strip panels, and iodine tests are not paranoia — they are the minimum literacy a household needs when the product is eaten every day.

I founded doodhwalarating.com as a public-interest watchdog: adulteration guides, FSSAI / FSO pathways, RWA gate-pass kits, and locality pages for societies that want a purity desk — not a milkman marketplace. If a vegetarian who pays premium prices can still get cheated, then gated societies need shared standards, not WhatsApp rumours.

From industry to awareness

I built Su-Kam Power Systems from a soldering-iron start into India's power-backup and solar story — plastic-body inverters, sine-wave platforms, exports, and a long patent trail. That chapter closed when I exited Su-Kam in 2019. I am not responsible for the company's activity since.

In this next chapter I am retired from that industry grind and focused on creating awareness across areas I care about: manufacturing memory, insolvency lessons, civilizational essays on kunwersachdev.com, energy legacy work, and practical consumer safety here — starting with the dairy on our own tables.
