After a kitchen fail — five moves that actually help
Photograph the proof, not the argument
Date-stamp strip pads, CLR, and the sample container. Note vendor or dairy name and delivery time. A clear photo is what a district FSO can use.
Common miss: only saving a reel about adulterated khoya from another city.
Retest unboiled milk; fresh piece for khoya/paneer
Ask for a second unboiled litre. Warm leftovers wreck CLR. For khoya or paneer, repeat the kitchen screen on a fresh piece from the same buy with a witness if you can.
Common miss: testing leftover mithai scrapings as if they were a sealed sample.
Escalate to the district FSO in Jharkhand
Sealed sampling is the Food Safety Officer’s job. Start where the product was sold or delivered — Ranchi, East Singhbhum (Jamshedpur), Dhanbad, and other districts each have desks under the state food-safety machinery.
Common miss: only arguing with the shop and never asking for formal sampling.

Common miss: skipping milk CLR all year, then only testing mawa before a wedding.
